The objective of the project is to raise awareness of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and its key concepts: the climate emergency; the contribution of the agricultural sector to the increase in CO₂-equivalent emissions and their impact on agriculture; what farmers will be able to do thanks to the CAP; and the implementation of Italian Strategic Plan.
JuST CAP provides an in-depth overview of the current CAP (2021–2027) and the future Common Agricultural Policy (2028–2034), with a focus on climate change adaptation, as well as the green and just transition.
The project will also highlight the CAP’s contribution to supporting the rural economy, with a focus on new skills and technologies, while addressing the importance of fair remuneration for farmers and the contribution they can make to reducing emissions.
