The second study visit of the “ELN – Environmental Literacy Networking” project
The study visit, within the ELN – Environmental Literacy Networking project, took place in Bologna from 3 to 7 April 2023

During the study visit to Bologna, as part of the ELN environmental literacy communication project supported by the European Union, the project partners of the YUVA Association, representatives of Turkish municipalities, together with the Kyoto Club, met representatives of regional institutions , of the Bologna municipality and thirteen Italian civil society organisations (CSOs).

The following were respectively met: Federico Fabiani, founder and CEO, Rosalia Marchese, Project Manager of Scambi Europei; Susanna Cattini, President of the food coop Camilla; Nicoletta Tranquillo, co-founder and Project Manager of Kilowatt; Francesco Lombardo, Designer of Aquaponic Design; Sara Branchini, Vice President of the Antarctic Center; Federica Zito and Irene Menghini of the Mediterranean, Migration and Italy Projects Office of CEFA Onlus; Andrea Giotti, CEO, Anita Guerra, Community Manager, Mara Polloni, Project Manager of the urban regeneration space DumBo (Multifunctional Urban District of Bologna); Roberto Morotti co-founder of Backbo; Umberto Mezzacapo, Project Manager of FIU- Urban Innovation Foundation, Giulia di Girolamo of the educational projects of Caracò; Vice President Virginia Sarotto and Christopher Dowling of Hayat Onlus; Noemi Juliàn and Sergi Veraponte about Bologna Climate Assemblies; Rita Ghedini, President, Simone Fabbri, Coordinator of the sustainability and local relations unit of Legacoop Bologna; Carlo Francesco Salmaso of the Piazza Grande Social Cooperative.

We met at the Municipality of Bologna: Vice-Mayor Anna Lisa Boni, Bologna City Government Counsillor for international relations, former Eurocities Secretary General; Silvia Sassu from the International Relations Office; Chiara Cervigni from the Ecological Transition Sector and the Climate Office.
At the Emilia-Romagna Region we had very stimoulating exchanges of information and ideas with Silvia Zamboni Vice-President of the Regional Parliament and Patrizia Bianconi Responsible for the ecological transition and climate change of the Office of the President of the Emilia-Romagna Region.
