EU Support to Civil Society in Turkey
Today, September 30th, during the "Financial Sustainability and Foundraising" Workshop, Ms. Ozge Gökçe Aktaşof, the Head of Delegation of the European Union to Turkey, presented most of the EU funds to Civil Society in Turkey that are directly managed by the EU Delegation. The workshop took place on Zoom with the participation of over 30 members of the ELN- Environmental Literacy Networking project.
Over 30 organizations involved in the ELN – Environmental Literacy Networking project participated in the Zoom workshop. Ms.Ozge Gökçe Aktaşof, the Head of Delegation of the European Union to Turkey, with her presentation entitled "EU Support to Civil Society in Turkey", explains the EU funds to Civil Society in Turkey.
Most of EU funds to Civil Society in Turkey are directly managed by the EU Delegation. The Civil Society Facility is the main programme to support CSOs in Turkey. For the 2018-19 period the amount of funds under the CSF were € 35 million.
Since a few years the EUD has been using more frequently a modality of re-distribution of funds to smaller NGOs via intermediary partners.
