{"id":43961,"date":"2022-11-20T06:36:29","date_gmt":"2022-11-20T05:36:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.kyotoclub.org\/?p=43961"},"modified":"2022-11-28T13:02:33","modified_gmt":"2022-11-28T12:02:33","slug":"cop27-the-conclusions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kyotoclub.org\/en\/news-en\/news-from-the-world\/2022\/11\/20\/cop27-the-conclusions\/","title":{"rendered":"Cop27: The conclusions."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis outcome moves us forward,\u201d said Simon Stiell, UN Climate Change Executive Secretary. \u201cWe have determined a way forward on a decades-long conversation on funding for loss and damage \u2013 deliberating over how we address the impacts on communities whose lives and livelihoods have been ruined by the very worst impacts of climate change.\u201d<br><br>Set against a difficult geopolitical backdrop, COP27 resulted in countries delivering a <a href=\"https:\/\/unfccc.int\/cop27\/auv\">package of decisions<\/a> that reaffirmed their commitment to limit global temperature rise to 1.5 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels.
