{"id":43207,"date":"2022-09-22T15:05:00","date_gmt":"2022-09-22T13:05:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.kyotoclub.org\/?p=43207"},"modified":"2022-09-27T15:06:37","modified_gmt":"2022-09-27T13:06:37","slug":"daring-cities-2022-more-than-a-conference-about-financing-climate-emergencies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kyotoclub.org\/en\/news-en\/news-from-the-world\/2022\/09\/22\/daring-cities-2022-more-than-a-conference-about-financing-climate-emergencies\/","title":{"rendered":"\u00a0 Daring Cities 2022: more than a conference about  financing climate emergencies"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The upcoming edition will take place from <strong>3 to 7 October<\/strong>, with a focus on <strong>financing climate emergencies<\/strong> and the purpose of <strong>showcasing and catalyzing exemplary local climate action to tackle the climate emergency<\/strong>, including ambitious resilience-building and climate mitigation efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ICLEI Europe will be present with the following sessions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>3 October 2022<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Seeding the future of energy: Public private partnerships to drive energy innovation at scale<\/strong><br>Workshop &#8211; 11:00 &#8211; 12:30 CET<br>The effects of climate change are becoming more and more evident with each passing day. It is clear that urgent action is needed to reduce GHG emissions dramatically whilst securing stability of and fair access to the energy system. Local governments are in a key position to implement actions toward more sustainable patterns, however, such a swift change cannot be done with public resources alone. Partnerships with the business sector can accelerate implementation at scale. The session will present innovative schemes from Africa, Chinese Taipei and Europe, bringing experts and concrete experience to the discussion in an interactive format.
