Of particular utility is the series of place-based, step-wise, community-led webinars that feature local and external experts and can be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCfI4JuDGGsu2ZVPMeHF3F4A\/playlists?view=1&amp;sort=dd&amp;shelf_id=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">viewed on demand<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a href=\"https:\/\/networknature.eu\/product\/25930\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Nature Positive Economy Publication<\/strong><\/a>:<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Strategic and mutually beneficial global NBS partnerships resulted in the independent expert publication of the European Commission entitled \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/networknature.eu\/product\/25930\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>The vital role of nature-based solutions in a nature positive economy<\/em><\/a>\u201d to which ICLEI has greatly contributed. This report discusses the value of nature beyond its pure monetary contributions to society. Policy recommendations are available for local governments to pave their way towards a nature-positive economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.scot\/publications\/global-biodiversity-framework-edinburgh-process---information\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Edinburgh Process and Declaration<\/strong><\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Scotland, with ICLEI guidance, led a consultation process with sub-national governments around the world to brainstorm contributions to the post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework and targets. The resulting<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.scot\/publications\/edinburgh-declaration-on-post-2020-biodiversity-framework\/pages\/current-signatories\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> Edinburgh Declaration<\/a> highlights the vital role of sub-national governments and sets out their commitments in achieving post-2020 goals and targets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The EU Horizon 2020 NBS project <a href=\"https:\/\/connectingnature.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Connecting Nature<\/a>, in which ICLEI played a pivotal role, helped lay the foundation for each of these achievements. Additional projects building on Connecting Nature\u2019s legacy and particularly the UrbanByNature Programme include <a href=\"https:\/\/clevercities.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CLEVER Cities<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conexusnbs.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CONEXUS<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.regreen-project.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">REGREEN<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/nice-nbs.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">NICE<\/a>.
