{"id":71067,"date":"2026-09-21T11:08:32","date_gmt":"2026-09-21T09:08:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.kyotoclub.org\/?page_id=71067"},"modified":"2026-09-21T15:00:40","modified_gmt":"2026-09-21T13:00:40","slug":"just-cap","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.kyotoclub.org\/en\/projects-and-initiatives\/just-cap\/","title":{"rendered":"JuST CAP"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kyotoclub.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/just-cap_brochure_15x15_ENG.pdf\" data-type=\"attachment\" data-id=\"71079\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Download the brochure (PDF)<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Objectives<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The objective of the project is to raise awareness of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and its key concepts: the climate emergency; the contribution of the agricultural sector to the increase in CO\u2082-equivalent emissions and their impact on agriculture; what farmers will be able to do thanks to the CAP; and the implementation of Italian Strategic Plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>JuST CAP<\/em> provides an in-depth overview of the current CAP (2021\u20132027) and the future Common Agricultural Policy (2028\u20132034), with a focus on climate change adaptation, as well as the green and just transition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The project will also highlight the CAP\u2019s contribution to supporting the rural economy, with a focus on new skills and technologies, while addressing the importance of fair remuneration for farmers and the contribution they can make to reducing emissions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Themes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Adaptation to climate change<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Green and just transition<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contribution of the agricultural sector to the increase in CO\u2082 emissions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Organic farming and agriculture 4.0 for climate change adaptation and sustainability.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Actions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The actions envisaged by <em>Agree CAP<\/em> are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Kick-off meeting:<\/strong> project launch conference, which will take place in Rome.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>20 thematic webinars:<\/strong> to raise public awareness on the contribution of the CAP to environmental sustainability, adaptation and climate resilience and on the potential of rural areas with a view to their socio-economic development.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Forum for schools<\/strong>: 3 forum meetings and face-to-face seminars throughout the Italian peninsula that will allow participating schools to get to know local good practices up close.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Contest<\/strong>: during the seminars am Award will be launched that will be linked to the study visits, reserved for schools. The best communication material produced by the schools while taking part in the study visits will be selected.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Study visit and award ceremony<\/strong>: The one-day study visit will allow students to have a close look to an innovative approach in the field.
