The lead partner is the <strong>Slovenian Chamber for Agriculture and Forestry &#8211; Institute of Agriculture and Forestry Maribor (Slovenia)<\/strong>, while <strong>Kyoto Club<\/strong> is a partner for Italy together with <strong>Unione Nazionale Comuni Comunit\u00e0 Enti Montani Lazio (UNCEM Lazio)<\/strong> and <strong>Consortium Oltrep\u00f2 Mantovano<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">COMPOSE PLUS aims to capitalize the <strong>COMPOSE tool<\/strong>, a planning tool to support policy makers in the development of projects that promote the transition to clean energy, paying particular attention to the islands and rural areas of the MED area. The project will encourage the implementation of energy efficiency measures and the use of renewable energy sources, also promoting new business models capable of combining technical and social innovation. COMPOSE PLUS intends to transmit the skills on the use of the energy planning tool to new partners and new contexts through training and capacity building courses developed on the basis of the analysis of the needs and opportunities offered by EU funding. To ensure continuity to the actions carried out by the project, the partners will sign a memorandum of understanding with which they will undertake to support the mainstreaming of the tool by promoting its use in their respective countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The general objecti<\/strong>ve of COMPOSE PLUS is to improve the ability of regions and their territories to plan energy efficiency measures and the use of renewable energy sources as development opportunities under the European Green Deal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Specific objective<\/strong> is the transfer, through training sessions, of the results achieved with the COMPOSE project, favoring the use of the toolbox created by COMPOSE for planning local energy choices and thus contributing to new ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The main output<\/strong> is the signing of a memorandum of understanding with which the institutions involved in the project undertake to adopt the planning tool and methodology developed by COMPOSE in their territories.
